The Component I Examination is a written exam that consists of any combination of essay and short answer questions. Questions will cover the diagnosis, management and basic sciences of core oral and maxillofacial surgery topics, which include Orthognathic surgery, Temporomandibular disorders, Cleft/Craniofacial/Cosmetic surgery, Dentoalveolar/Preprosthetic surgery, Implants, Trauma, Anesthesia, Medicine, and Pathology.
